The MBA has three types of banker involvement groups: committees, special interest
groups, and task forces. The differences are in the length of member involvement and
charge. Committee members are asked to serve up to three one-year appointments. Special
interest groups and task forces have no restrictions on the length of appointment. All
committees, special interest groups, and task forces report to the MBA Board of Directors.
Each group has an MBA staff liaison that plans meetings, takes minutes, and carries out the
work of the group.
