Bank Day At the Capitol

Let Your Voice Be Heard...

House Commerce Chair, Representative Zack Stephenson (D-Coon Rapids) and Senate Commerce Chair, Senator Gary Dahms (R-Redwood Falls) will join to give us an overview of their committees and what they may be hearing this session.

During Bank Day, you will have the opportunity to hear views and caucus priorities from the legislative leaders for the 2021 session. Commissioner Grace Arnold, Minnesota Department of Commerce, will begin the day with the opening remarks and give an update on the Department.

House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D-Brooklyn Park) and Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka (R-Nisswa) will speak about their caucus priorities and legislating in a virtual world.

You will also receive briefings on current legislation and issues from MBA’s Government Relations Team.

Former DEED commissioner and co-founder of Civic Eagle, Shawntera Hardy, will close the morning with an insightful keynote exploring the meaningful ways our industry can embrace the differences among us and ensure all voices are represented and heard.
