Who Should Participate

Lenders who finance family farm operations and who work with or are interested in working with the Farm Service Agency Guaranteed Loan Program, and those who need to meet annual FSA training requirements should attend.

Others who have an interest in the Guaranteed Loan Program.

 

Topics

Farm Service Agency representatives will present an update on the Guaranteed Loan Program, policy issues, and farm planning for fiscal year 2021. Current key issues such as security and servicing requirements will also be discussed. Attendance at this training will also meet FSA annual lender training requirements.

  • Planning for 2021 Guaranteed Loans
  • Unique Loan Making and Servicing Issues
  • Issues from Lender File Reviews
*  Updates and changes may be made to the schedule

Presenters

Keith Hobbie is a Farm Loan Program Specialist for the Farm Service Agency located in Pipestone, MN. He assists the State Environmental Coordinator, provides technical loan assistance to field offices, assists in policy development, and conducts training on FSA loan programs. Mr. Hobbie has worked in the delivery of loan programs within USDA for 27 years.

Lauren Carlson is a Farm Loan Program Specialist for the Farm Service Agency in St. Paul. She provides technical assistance to field offices and lenders, assists in policy development, and conducts training on FSA loan programs. Mrs. Carlson has worked in the delivery of FSA loan programs for four years.

Registration Fee (includes lunch)

Member: $90.00 per person
Qualified Non-Member $110.00 per person

Cancellation Policy

The MBA reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, or other reasons. Participants wishing to cancel must inform the MBA in writing prior to the event. Send cancellation notices to maryh@minnbankers.com. A cancellation fee of 25% of the program cost will be charged for withdrawing, or you may send a substitute. The full program fee will be charged for withdrawing after the event has taken place or a no-show.
