Lastly, we will address common pitfalls when handling these items and provide best practices so financial institutions can handle garnishments, levies, and writs with confidence. Attendees will leave the course with a greater understanding these collection tools and their responsibility in processing them correctly.

- Identify what funds may be protected from garnishment, levy, or attachment and should not be frozen by the financial institution
Lindsay W. Cremona is a litigation attorney with Anastasi Jellum, P.A. who has successfully represented clients in a variety of complex civil litigation and bankruptcy matters, including breach of contract claims, enforcement of UCC rights, and fraud claims. Specifically, Lindsay works with financial institutions to protect their interests in loan collection and liquidation, as well as regulatory compliance for the United States Small Business Administration government-guaranteed lending programs. Lindsay is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin and has been with Anastasi Jellum, P.A. since 2012.
Garth G. Gavenda is an attorney and shareholder at Anastasi Jellum, P.A., a firm which specializes in the representation of financial institutions, with a focus on government guaranteed lending. Garth, a seasoned trial lawyer, serves as head of the firm’s litigation team. Garth assists lenders with workouts, enforcing loan documents, foreclosing on real and personal property, collection, and preservation of lender’s rights in bankruptcy. Garth is licensed in a number of state and federal courts and has been with Anastasi Jellum, P.A. since 2006.
