Who Should Participate

This workshop is geared toward new Ag Loan Officers interested in utilizing the FSA Guaranteed Loan program and experienced Ag Loan Officers that have limited experience with FSA guarantees. Attendees from FSA “Certified” Lenders will be designated as new “Qualified Person Loan Officers”. This workshop is also appropriate for support personnel who are heavily involved in FSA Guaranteed Loan processing.

Attendance at this training will also meet FSA annual training requirements for PLP & CLP loan officers.

Topics

Farm Service Agency representatives will present an update on the Guaranteed Loan Program, policy issues, and farm planning for fiscal year 2020. Current key issues such as security and servicing requirements will also be discussed. Attendance at this training will also meet FSA annual lender training requirements.

Presenters

Tom DeCock is a Farm Loan Programs Specialist for the Farm Service Agency in St. Paul, Minnesota. He provides technical assistance to field offices assists in policy development and conducts training on FSA loan programs. Mr. DeCock has worked in the delivery of loan programs in Minnesota county offices and the state office for 34 years.

Lauren Sperry is a Farm Loan Programs Specialist for the Farm Service Agency in St. Paul, Minnesota. She provides technical assistance to field offices, assists in policy development and conducts training on FSA loan programs. Ms. Sperry has worked in the delivery of loan programs in Minnesota county offices and the State office for three years.

Cancellation Policy

The MBA reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, or other reasons. Participants wishing to cancel must inform the MBA in writing prior to the event. Send cancellation notices to maryh@minnbankers.com. A cancellation fee of 25% of the program cost will be charged for withdrawing, or you may send a substitute. The full program fee will be charged for withdrawing after the event has taken place or a no-show.
