With the Fed recently speculating that small or midsized banks may fail soon due to looming losses in the commercial real estate market, it is incredibly important for bankers to have a solid understanding of how to effectively mitigate risk and loss in a commercial real estate crisis.  This presentation will discuss techniques for evaluating risk in commercial real estate portfolios, engaging in early workout activities, and utilizing remedies such as receivership and ABCs (assignments for the benefit of creditors) to avoid widespread losses.
