Job Description

State Bank of Cold Spring is hiring a Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Management Program. This position plans, organizes, and controls the Bank's day-to-day administrative, lending, and operational compliance activities. Participates in various committees, audits, and examinations. Performs duties as the Bank Secrecy Act/OFAC Officer, Community Reinvestment Act Officer. Conducts staff training related to new hires and compliance. Advises the Board of Directors, Senior Management, and Bank personnel of emerging compliance issues, consults, and guides the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develops, implements, and administers all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Program. Assists independent, state and federal regulator auditor inquiries, reviews and writes compliance related policies and procedures; makes recommendations to the Board of Directors and Senior Management when appropriate; submits monthly reports to the Board of Directors. Review and submit CTR forms for compliance and transmit to FINCEN. Conducts internal audits and oversee actions of independent third party and regulatory audits; makes necessary preparations for such audits or exams; coordinates responses to external auditors and regualatory examiners; ensures deficiencies identified from such audits and exams are corrected. Ensures compliance with all applicable reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College degree in Business Administration and/or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training with banking background
