Job Description

We are seeking a BSA Officer to join our Compliance team at Bridgewater Bank. The BSA Officer is responsible for developing, executing, and administering the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance program. The BSA Officer will provide thought leadership and advancement of the Bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC program by leveraging technology and enhancing the Bank’s capabilities to support growth. The BSA Officer will be effective at collaborating, communicating, and training across all levels of the organization. Additionally, the BSA Officer will support proactive risk management through the identification of emerging risks and enhancement of control structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day BSA/AML and OFAC workflows, including CIP and ongoing CDD/EDD, ensuring timely risk-based decisions and responses
  • Conduct and manage monitoring and analysis activities associated with BSA/AML and OFAC compliance
  • Approve and ensure timely submission of SAR, CTR, and DOEP reports
  • Chair Fraud/Suspicious Activity Committee
  • Submit accurate risk-based and timely reports to the Board of Directors
  • Ensure department procedures remain current
  • Train Bank staff, including Board of Directors
  • Implement internal controls for BSA/AML/OFAC compliance throughout the Bank’s functional areas and across product and service offerings
  • Subject Matter Expert for BSA/AML automated system; balance BSA/AML automated alert system
  • Prepare annual BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments and Policy review
  • Manage BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory exam/independent audit process including outstanding finding resolution
  • Identify and report on emerging BSA/AML and OFAC risks and their bank-wide impact
  • Lead BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory and technology implementation teams incorporating efficiencies and identifying risks

Education & Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of BSA/AML/OFAC financial institution experience including supervisory experience
  • CAMS or CFE Certification preferred, or ability to obtain
  • Ability to interpret BSA/AML and OFAC regulations and provide succinct recommendations to varying audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking ability, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Verafin and Fiserv experience preferred
