Job Description

Merchants Bank, Winona, has an opening for a VP/Deposit Operations Manager.

This management position is responsible for and provides leadership for Deposit Support, Wires, Item Processing, and the Fraud/Switchboard areas. This role will focus on the people, processes and technology in each of these areas and will be responsible for all deposit related policies, ensuring deposit related data integrity and compliance. Other key focus areas will be strategic process re-engineering/automation/efficiency and data integrity of operations and process/lean improvements to the workflow, as well as special deposit operations projects, such as acquisitions and system updates/implementations.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience gained working in a banking environment with focus on deposit operations required. Previous experience as a manager in a community bank’s deposit operations is desirable. Must be able to problem solve, balance multiple tasks, be detail orientated, organized, and have excellent communication skills.
