Job Description

Job Type: Full-time

This position is responsible for providing customers with friendly, efficient, and professional service in an accurate and timely manner at all times by processing all account transactions, cross-selling the Bank’s products and services, opening, maintaining and closing of all account types, and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff. This position is responsible for managing and balancing a cash drawer in an accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Greets customers warmly and professionally. Assists customers with questions, problems, and inquiries as it relates to Bank products and services in an accurate and timely manner via telephone, email, or in person. Explains options and alternatives available to them when opening new checking, savings, CD’s, and money market accounts in an accurate and timely manner utilizing the Coulee Bank systems and procedures.
  • Ascertains which person in the bank can most effectively assist the customer and makes the referral in an effective and timely manner.
  • Actively maintains knowledge of bank product and services to ensure depository compliance is being maintained. Processes customer requests in accordance with Coulee Bank policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are followed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Opens, processes and records night deposit and mail transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Knows and strictly follows all security and internal control procedures. Notifies supervisor immediately of any suspicious activity or questionable transactions occur.
  • Accurately batches and scans teller work in an accurate and timely manner to ensure the process is able to be completed by operations staff in an efficient manner.
  • Prepares a daily activity summary for daily deposit. Balances own cash drawer according to Coulee Bank procedures and expectations.
  • Performs other customer services as requested, such as helping customers with check orders, updating customer addresses and account records, and processing credit card advances in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures all relevant teller line logs are maintained in an accurate manner.
  • Responsible for balancing vault cash and coin machine (inside and drive-up) according to established procedures. Sells money to other tellers, supplies change orders on an as needed basis.
  • May make Bank deposits to Federal Reserve, order money from Federal Reserve on an as needed basis.
  • May provide work delegation to other tellers as requested by the Head Teller in his/her absence.
  • Represents Coulee Bank in various community activities in a professional manner.
  • Ensures confidentiality of bank and customer information at all times.
  • Maintains proficiency in using all applicable software to this position.
  • Participates in training programs to ensure knowledge of all pertinent procedure and regulatory requirements to perform all aspects of this position in a competent manner.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
