Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization! Stearns Bank is looking for a Wire Specialist I. This position will report to our branch location in St. Cloud, Minnesota on a rotational basis.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the administration and completion of all transactions processed through the Federal Reserve or through tour account at the Federal Reserve Bank. Provides backup duties to the Wire Specialist II.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all (incoming & outgoing) Funds Transfers (wires) over WireXchange for all locations.
  • Follow up with confirmations to originators/beneficiaries & updating the wire screen.
  • Process International Wire Transactions for all locations over WireXchange or SinglePoint.
  • Process ACH Returns, NOC’s, and EDI files over Fedline.
  • Process Check Return Notifications on Fedline.
  • Transmit FR2900 Report on Fedline.
  • Produce daily confirmation reports.
  • Ensure all wires (incoming & outgoing) have cleared all OFAC checks.
  • Monitor & track anti-money laundering.
  • Responsible for all DDA/GL Accounts in direct relation to this position.
  • Responsible for data integrity and continuous backups of data and terminals.
  • Prepare Interest Paid and Correspondent Account reconciliation’s for affiliate banks.
  • Prepare Correspondent account reconciliations.
  • Maintain written procedures for all Fedline Applications.
  • Assist Operations Manager to ensure Disaster Recovery Forms and Procedures are up-to-date and available at the Operations Hotsite.
  • Maintain current wire agreement forms.
  • Assist Operations Manager with CRA reporting.
  • BSA/AML monitoring for wires at all offices of Stearns Bank.
  • Prepare all Fed Administration forms pertaining to new offices, closed offices, and maintenance of all open offices at Stearns Bank.
  • Coordinate documentation for all Stearns Bank correspondent accounts.
  • Chargebacks and stop payments
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.
  • Loss prevention and security as applicable for this position.
  • Complete monthly gl and account reconciliations
  • Debit Card Duties
  • Complete required training.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Education & Experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Fed Line experience helpful.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principals.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexible.
