Job Description

The Credit Analyst is an integral part of the lending team and the success of the lending process. The Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting credit analysis including: gathering, analyzing financial information, spreading financial statements and tax returns, and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers and portfolios.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns for new loan presentations.
  • Analyze cash flow and prepare credit risk reviews for existing credit relationships
  • Provide loan pricing recommendations, associated risk rating, and repayment structure on new loans.
  • Determine collateral value and perfect security interests
  • Perform analysis of borrower’s business and global cash flow
  • Highlight the borrower’s key financial trends and ratios
  • Prepare credit file content and organization to maintain compliance with bank policies and procedures
  • Effectively coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while working on loan pipeline
  • Active in new business development
  • Actively participate in community events and civic organizations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and bank policies

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or professional experience in related fields
  • High degree of integrity and drive for excellence
  • Ability to coordinate complex activities and prioritize conflicting demands and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to express ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
