The Credit Analyst/Loan Officer is responsible for providing proven and competent credit analysis for commercial and lending activities, assistance in the administration of commercial borrowing accounts, and the support of other credit related functions with minimal direction and supervision. This position is responsible for providing accurate credit analysis information and working with Lending Officer(s) to ensure that sound judgements are made regarding the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers. This position will also work as a Loan Officer to tailor financing packages that meet the needs of their customers, primarily including commercial, small business and consumer loans.
Duties include but not limited to the following:
- Spread financial statements, including tax returns as requested and provide detailed reports that succinctly summarize financial information.
- Review and analyze incoming financial statements. Update and/or complete financial spreads and covenant monitoring spreadsheets to be forwarded to the appropriate Lending Officers.
- Review and assist in ongoing surveillance tracking and monitoring of covenants for larger credits.
- Update loan customer information system with current and up to date credit analysis information.
- Provide well-written analysis for credit presentations, file comments and annual reviews. Maintain monitoring, tracking and reporting while working with lenders to keep loan file comments and ticklers current.
- Meet and communicate with customers on a regular basis.
- Be responsible for all lending aspects for commercial, agricultural, and consumer loans.
- Approve and/or present credit and loans for approval to appropriate authority, as required.
- Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products and services.
