Overall Bank Operations, IT and Information Systems, Bank Auditing and coordination, Vendor Management.
The VP / Operations Officer / IT-IS Officer:
- Interacts with Bank ownership and management, external auditors and examiners, operations staff, Bank vendors/service providers, and bank customers.
- Oversees the Bank overall operations, IS Network & processing systems
- Is responsible to act and make recommendations to establish and achieve the Bank strategic plans
- Is responsible for the financial integrity of the general ledger and related financial statements
- Is involved with monitoring the overall accounting and finance aspects of the Bank
- Monitoring and upkeep of Bank building, furniture & fixtures, and infrastructure
- Coordinate and oversee all Bank audits and exams
- Compiles Board reports, coordinates Board meetings
- Is a member of various committees within the Bank
Bank Operations and Information Technology:
- Responsible to manage Bank staff, who are in turn responsible for day-to-day operations, bookkeeping, transaction processing, customer service and interaction. Ensure operational procedures and controls are in place to minimize operating risk
- Responsible for PC Network Oversight including the following: PC & Software training, troubleshooting and repair, Microsoft product maintenance, e-mail management, hardware/software and security patch upgrades, system backup & recovery, and ongoing maintenance
- Coordinate with the Bank Core processor and IT Managed Service providers
- Monitor employee internet and web usage
- Responsible to assist in the development of a long-term technology strategy for the Bank
- Establishing and updating Bank policies and operational procedures
- Oversee, establish procedures for & monitoring of all IT and IS related aspects of the Bank
Backup BSA & Security Officer:
Responsible for supporting the Bank's Security and BSA/AML officer in establishing, overseeing and monitoring of the Security and BSA/AML programs, policies and systems.
Additional Operational Support:
- Assist with Bank open and close
- Assist President with annual budget. Provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance
- OCC and FDIC Assessment retrieval, payment, and recording
- Marketing and promotion of the Bank. Reputation risk management
- Employee Policies, PTO management, Payroll system management
- Responsible for Bank Supplies, Equipment, Building and premises
- Oversee cash supply and ATM monitoring
- Wire Transfers - Originating and receiving wires, tracking and reporting
- Bank customer Garnishments, State of MN Child Support and Tax Levies
- Coordinating all staff training and education. Setup and monitor Online training program and progress
Committee Assignments and Other:
- ALCO Committee
- Audit/Risk Assessment Committee
- Assist with functions and projects outside the normal scope of the position as needed
- Involvement with Bank and Community events
- Bank Chamber of Commerce representative
