Business Banking Associate (Trainee) | Apply at www.bankcib.com/careers | False | 5/5/2022 | In order to be selected as a candidate for the Business Banker Trainee program, the candidate must possess one or more of the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a credit analyst, business analyst, or other related position
- Previous experience as a business banking portfolio manager
- Previous experience with consumer, mortgage, or commercial lending
- Previous experience in business banking such as a business banking associate or other high-level support to business bankers
In addition, the following qualifications are needed to be successful as a Business Banker Trainee:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong sales development skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Willingness to become involved with and participate in community events
- Ability to work well with business partners within the organization
- Proven ability to develop new business
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Position requires ability to have or obtain a NMLS License
| H-7354 | A successful business banker will bring commercial business into the bank through business development contacts with a customer/prospect. A business banker must match the product and service with the customer/prospect's identified needs and must carefully evaluate the amount of risk involved in entering into a relationship. A business banker must understand the business/industry the customer is in and must gain a thorough knowledge of the customer/enterprise history and future plans.
The business banker trainee will be placed in a training and development program to enhance or develop the competencies needed to become a successful business banker. The time spent in the program will be determined based on previous experience of the trainee and time needed to develop business banker competencies.
