Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization! Stearns Bank is looking for a Finance & Liquidity Analyst. This is a remote-eligible position based out of our Financial Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The Finance & Liquidity Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reports, as well as conducting research and analysis to provide management throughout the company with definitive financial data. Responsible for reviewing, recommending, reporting on, and analyzing balance sheet and income strategies while managing and mitigating interest rate risk and liquidity. Assist with budgeting and managing funding commitments, identifying and evaluating unexpected funding volatility, and IRR models. Prepare and aggregate the data and financial metrics for asset and liability reports and ALCO committee, as well as other financial reports and liquidity analysis requested for Board of Directors, auditors and examiners, and other regulatory, financial, and operational reporting.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance from a four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting of Bank financial results, budgets, stress-testing and interest rate and liquidity risk ratios is preferred.
  • Experience with banking core systems (Fiserv preferred)
  • Three years' experience with interest rate/liquidity software ProfitStar
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated abilities in collaboration and teamwork, and a proactive, engaged, active learning attitude that welcomes innovation and change with positivity and enthusiasm to maximize collaboration, efficiencies, and productivity.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
