Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a CPS Credit Portfolio Manager/Credit Analyst, who will manage Corporate Payment Systems (CPS) credit risk within the parameters of established Bank credit policy and historical CPS loss rates for new and existing business relationships. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Underwrites CPS customers and qualifies them for credit lines across a wide range of industries;
  • Manages assigned credit portfolios;
  • Approves credit for new business relationships and expanding existing relationships;
  • Manages credit risk and responds to prospective or existing customer credit questions;
  • Exercises independent judgment on assigned portfolios; and
  • Provides customer service by participating in joint customer calls with sales and relationship manager(s) when credit issues arise.
  • This role will be a hybrid work environment upon approved return-to-office timeframe (three days in office and two days remote).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting), or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of commercial banking or relevant experience Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, as well as company and business line policies and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of credit quality standards and industry-specific credit products
  • Strong relationship management and business development abilities, in order to capitalize on both new and existing relationship opportunities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
  • Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting), or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of commercial banking or relevant experience
