Job Description

This position promotes and cross-sells bank products and services to new and existing customers; providing superior customer service by effectively explaining and cross selling all types of bank services to new and existing customers to meet their needs and the bank's growth objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Promotes, counsels, and cross-sells all types of bank services to new and existing customers (checking, savings, CD’s, IRA’s) to meet their needs and the bank’s growth objectives.
  • Completes application process and other required paperwork for new accounts.
  • Provides positive customer satisfaction by assisting with account questions and resolving issues.
  • Completes Safe Deposit Box functions and maintains safekeeping records.
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts.
  • Effectively handles customer inquiries by phone or in person, resolving questions, complaints and conducts account research.
  • Sells, renews and redeems certificates.
  • Provides additional services as needed, such as, but not limited to, IRA’s opening and maintaining; ordering ATM and Debit cards; record maintenance; overdraft protection; check and supply ordering; notary service and card products.
  • Promotes and sells various loan products by interviewing customers to determine their needs.
  • Collects past due loans under assigned responsibility code as necessary, to minimize loan loss.

Education & Experience

  • High school degree or GED Required
  • College degree in business related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years customer service experience required.
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Two (2) years Relationship Banker experience.
  • Solid skill set in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A comprehensive service & sales skill set required.
  • A comprehensive skill set in Fiserv application preferred.
