Job Description

The Market President will serve as the primary commercial loan and deposit business development officer for the branch office, also includes Commercial and Ag portfolio servicing and collections as well as provide leadership within the market and to location staff (Business Banking, Mortgage, Retail, Insurance). Achieve established growth, quality, and profitability objectives to contribute to the budgeted goals for the office.

  • Promote Roundbank and originate new business growth through positive customer relationships, cross selling, and other community related business development activities.
  • Provide leadership and counsel to insure consistent results and proper administration of controls. Serve as resource person for assigned personnel to resolve questions or problems beyond their scope of their job knowledge or capabilities and provide training as necessary.
  • Active involvement with customer relationships, officer call program and other business development programs.
  • Measure and monitor office performance and relationship to established objectives.
  • Cultivate positive bank image and visibility through active involvement in community organization and activities.
  • Develop accurate and complete information on individual loan customers, analyze loans, make credit decisions within lending authority and provide effective loan servicing.
  • Monitor office’s portfolios, watch for potential problems, note repayment progress. Keep the Sales Team informed of credit trends and outlook of performance of individual loans that can have a significant impact on the bank.
  • Contribute to bank profitability through loan interest spreads, fee income and cost control.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or successful completion of a banking industry-sponsored graduate school.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience as a proven leader in a banking office
  • Ability to lead and manage
  • In depth knowledge of all lending laws and regulations
  • Understand of credit principles and practices
  • Excellent written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Sales/customer orientation with good analysis and negotiating skills
