SUMMARY

The Sr. HR Manager will lead the implementation of all employee experience functions, including building on the bank’s culture to focus on elevating the employee experience, responsible for talent acquisition/recruitment, overseeing payroll and benefits, managing legal HR compliance and regulatory reporting, spearheading employee relation activities (employee surveys, Wellness initiatives, policies, handbook etc.)

As a member of the Human Resources team overseen by the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Human Resources, the Sr. HR Manager will cross-functionally partner with all departments and bank management to execute all areas of HR that affect the employee experience.

The individual in this role will skillfully implement the following objectives:

Recruitment and Staffing:

Oversee, develop and maintain a robust talent acquisition program to ensure the bank attracts and retains top talent needed to achieve business goals. Ensure job openings are filled in a timely and strategic manner. Develops a pipeline built of potential candidates.
Develop and implement programs, policies, and practices designed to enhance employee experience and engagement, reduce turnover, and ensure legal compliance.

Benefit Programs:

  • Manage the bank’s benefits programs and enrollment process and provide data-driven analysis. Payroll systems knowledge.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable employment laws.

Legal, Compliance, Record Keeping:

  • Oversee employee record keeping, employee information systems, and all employee data.
  • Responsible for analyzing and reporting HR metrics on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
  • Responsible for compliance programs in HR such as: AAP (Affirmative Action Plan), EE0-1, BCP (Business Continuity Plan), etc
  • Annual review of HR policies, Employee Handbook, and Job Descriptions.

Employee Relations:

  • Continue to build upon an employee-oriented culture consistent with the bank’s values and mission.
  • Promote a productive, enjoyable, and rewarding workplace for all employees.
  • Manage job satisfaction pulse and assist in 360 management surveys.
  • Develop and lead wellness programs that support the whole employee – body, soul and mind.
  • Conduct or assist in annual HR training for all staff. On-going training with bank supervisors.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources.

Education & Experience

NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated HR leadership experience, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done while having the ability to think strategically.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment, while wearing multiple hats.
  • Highly motivated professional with strong people skills.
  • Has high emotional intelligence and is experienced and adept at interacting at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of federal and Minnesota employment laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly, adapt to changes and different leadership workstyles and personalities.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make recommendations effectively regarding complex situations to HR EVP with risk mitigation on the forefront.
  • Ability to maintain a calm disposition in a high-stress environment.
  • Demonstrated high level of reliability, flexibility, and dedication.
  • Detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

Minimum of 5 years experience in an equivalent HR level position.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Human Resource certification required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and use computer for extended periods.
