Loan Processor & Customer Service Specialist

    Job Description

Star Bank is seeking a Loan Processor for its office in Maple Lake, Minnesota. This position is full time (non exempt / hourly). This is not a remote work position. The loan processing work is done at Star Bank - Maple Lake.

The person in this position may also assist customers with general banking needs via phone or in branch as a Customer Service Specialist would do.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Loan Processor:

  • Creates loan documentation and modification while assisting with file management, reporting, lending compliance, and loan tracking.
  • Partner with the key lender and/or branch manager on his or her needs.

Customer Service Specialist:

  • Assist bank clients or potential clients by answering general inquiries with excellence.
  • Understand compliance rules and regulations for the banking industry.

    Education & Experience


  • Must have one year of experience working for a financial institution or a Fintech in loan processing or other equivalent role.
  • Must be a self-starter, fast learner, and detail oriented.
  • 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
  • We are seeking a candidate who is willing to "go the extra mile" whether that means attending meetings, training sessions, or working extra hours if needed based upon the volume of loan applications.

A successful candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based systems. An outgoing, energetic personality is necessary. The right candidate will be dependable and willing to take on new tasks and assist in making things run smoother, easier, and faster. Star Bank hires team players who are excited to work at an established, family-owned community bank. A professional image is required to work in the community bank.
