Job Description
Community Bank Owatonna is seeking a loan processor to join our staff. This individual will be a member of the loan department, reporting directly to the Cashier/Compliance Officer. The exact title and salary offered will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s previous banking experience and educational background.

Primary Functions:

  • Generate relevant loan documents and review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Input new loans into the bank’s core processing computer system.
  • Review new loans and make corrections as needed in the bank’s core processing system.
  • Maintain highly organized loan files, ensuring the presence of all required documentation.
  • Follow up as needed with lenders, customers, and outside vendors to obtain all relevant and required file documentation.
  • Communicate frequently with loan department staff to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the lending process.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer loan payments.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required/some college preferred.
  • Real estate loan processing knowledge strongly preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant bank experience required/5+ years strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively and within a team environment required.
  • Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills required.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality of privileged information required.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of various software programs required.
