Job Description
  • Assists customers with loan questions in person, on the phone and via e-mail as needed.
  • Prepares loan documentation as instructed by Loan Officers. Prepares correspondence and documentation promptly and accurately. Files/ and/or scans loan documents as needed in a timely manner.
  • Assists in preparing loan input sheets and determining the appropriate documents for a respective closing and/or renewal. When needed, order title work, prepare closing statements, obtain flood certifications, and may facilitate document signing.
  • Works with customers in determining loan balances, interest paid to date, and can accurately quote payoff information when requested.
  • Pays various loan expenses and forwards billing to customer as needed. Types comments, correspondence, notices and reports as requested. Maintains appropriate loan files and prepares paid loan documentation and mails packet to customer.
  • Ensures that the banks loan exceptions are kept to a minimum as reported by bank regulators.
  • Assists loan officers in disbursement of funds for construction notes. This includes obtaining draw requests, reviewing, invoices, reviewing lien waivers, making checks, and summarizing all disbursements to date in comparison to original projections in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains all files in an orderly manner, processes closed files and prepares old files for storage and/or destruction according to established record retention schedule.
  • Follows all established security and internal control procedures to protect the assets of the Bank and its customers.
  • Will establish and carry out notary public duties in compliance with applicable regulations.
Education & Experience
  • Education and/or Experience: Some college with coursework in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred. A minimum of 2 years in banking is required. Must have completed satisfactorily the Principles of Banking coursework; become or already are a notary.
  • Language Skills: Must possess good verbal skills to effectively communicate with internal/external customers. Strong written skills are needed to accurately and clearly describe the details of a variety of transactions.
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Excel and Word and Bank Core Systems such as Jack Henry.
  • Physical Demands and Environmental Working Conditions: Work is performed within an office environment. Frequent mental and visual concentration for computer use is required. Potentially will drive to the customer’s place
