Job Description
Commerce Bank is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a Client Services Specialist position at our Edina location. This position would be responsible for business and consumer deposit account transactions and assisting customers in selecting from various accounts and services to meet their financial needs. This position would also open, maintain, and close deposit accounts, as well as strive to maintain positive relationships with Bank clients.

  • Accurately process, closely verify, and promptly enter all transactions requested by customers in a manner consistent with bank standards and compliance regulations. Provide a high quality of customer service, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Support the banking needs of customers by completing a variety of banking transactions, which commonly include: deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, and/or loan transactions, in accordance with specific standards, policies and procedures. Casually investigate a customer’s motivation for withdrawing funds/closing accounts.
  • Respond to all types of customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems. These may include questions about the Bank, FDIC insurance, deposit accounts, and other bank-related products and services. Respond to all requests accurately, concisely, and appropriately.
  • Actively promote bank products and services to deepen customer relationships.
  • Process and file customer requests for Online Banking, ATM and debit cards, and Remote Deposit services. Provide customer and internal support for Online Banking and ATM and debit card services.
  • Accept customer and internal requests for wire transfers. Verify wire authorization, obtain wire approval, enter transfer and forward to other bank personnel for final processing.
Education & Experience
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience in a bank setting is required. New account opening experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Must be able to multi-task, change focus quickly, and communicate effectively.
  • Two or three years of college education required.
