Job Description
Reliance Bank is a fast-growing Community Bank located just south of the metro on the Interstate 35 corridor. We are adding a new full-time position to our staff.

General Definition of Position

  • Monitor and Mitigate Risk in the Loan Portfolio
  • Ensure loans are structured, underwritten, documented, & closed per the Bank’s policies
  • Incorporate Regulatory requirements and Bank’s strategic plan into loan policy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor loan portfolio for accurate risk rating, deteriorating repayment capacity, and portfolio concentration
  • Review and analyze financial statements of new and existing credits
  • Prepare detailed analysis, present facts, and address questions concerning credit worthiness of a relationship for presentation to credit committee for approval
  • Ensure consistent quality and structure of all loan presentations as per our loan policy to credit committee
  • Oversee preparation and review of quarterly watch list reports
  • Manage OREO and sell / dispose of properties
  • Work with credit analyst, loan support specialists and commercial lenders to ensure that all client documentation and customer agreements, credit and non-credit alike, are accurate, properly executed, and all funds are withheld until all documents are properly executed
  • Collect and compile data; assist in the preparation of internal loan stress tests
  • Supervise and assist other credit analysts
Education & Experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Credit & Finance Knowledge
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to exception free loan portfolio
  • Able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Self-motivated and persistent in follow through
  • Detail oriented and Analytical
  • Flexible to change in a growing organization
  • Previous experience with Sageworks, Finpack or other credit analytics software a positive
Needed Experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Commercial Credit Analysis
  • In depth knowledge of commercial lending laws and regulations
