Job Description
Lake Area Bank is currently seeking a full time Sr. Credit Analyst to join our amazing team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical support to Business Bankers and to facilitate sound lending decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review submitted credit and financial data package from lending officers to determine ability to complete timely risk and credit analysis of the loan request.
  • Spread and analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Prepare accurate and objective loan presentations and annual reviews in consultation with lenders' schedules and requirements.
  • Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of borrowers/guarantors with geographic and industry norms.
  • Assess transactions with respect to credit policy; identify exceptions to loan policy and the underlying mitigates which create acceptable loan risk tolerance.
  • Identify sources of repayment and assess reasonableness of repayment sources.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants. Calculate and test performance against covenants.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of compliance and internal control requirements necessary to complete the job.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree preferably in business, finance or accounting; or equivalent work experience required.

Three or more years of commercial credit/lending experience with the knowledge of bank regulations governing lending and bank loan policies.
