Job Description
We are assisting our client, Ladysmith Federal Savings & Loan in Ladysmith, WI with the selection process for their next President/CEO due to the impending retirement of the long-term incumbent. As a mutual association, they are the only locally-owned and operated financial institution in Ladysmith. Their focus is on meeting the community’s needs for financial services in a friendly, helpful, trustworthy, and proudly small-town manner.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the new President/CEO will continue their success by:

  • Providing visionary leadership
  • Developing and implementing key strategic initiatives
  • Effectively managing and retaining talented employees
  • Achieving short and long term financial objectives
  • Ensuring compliance to mitigate risk
  • Anticipating industry and area trends
  • Active participation in civic and community activities
Education & Experience
Ideal candidates will possess:
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in business or banking related area (or equivalent experience), graduate school of banking education preferred
  • At least 10 years of senior management experience in at least two major areas of banking (lending, deposits, operations, etc.)
  • A passion and an aptitude for small-town community banking are essential
  • Proficiency with core banking systems (Fiserv Cleartouch or similar) and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent character and commitment to doing the right thing - always
