Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and advanced technical support skills to internal employees by promptly and professionally responding to inquiries and requests for assistance with The Bank of Elk River’s computers, applications, servers and various other technologies. This role will be responsible for leading major projects that may be complex and/or involve a bank-wide impact. This role will also provide technical training to new/current employees and be responsible with keeping up with the latest trends in technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides advanced level technical support and administration of end-users on systems and various applications. Promptly responds to helpdesk requests/inquires in a timely fashion. Escalates complex problems using discretion and sound judgement to the IT Supervisor and/or Managed Service Provider.
  • Maintains written processes and procedures relating to the Technology Department operations including new user setups and terminations.
  • Responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware, software and systems.
  • Assists with managing IT projects and initiatives under the direction of the IT Supervisor and Director of Information Security and Technology.
  • Responsible for working with several outside vendors to perform software upgrades and installations in a virtual environment.
  • Maintains and configures Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Performs new employee training including policy reviews. Routinely follows up with employees to address additional training needs.
  • Follows approved security measures and procedures. Ensure that equipment is completely wiped of confidential information and properly disposed of.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and/or 3-5 years related experience
  • High proficiency with bank computer programs
  • Knowledge of Active director, Group Policy and HTML.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • Experience with VMWare and virtual desktops and virtual machines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must possess keen analytical and problem solving skills to support our operations.
