Human Resources Role Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Policy Management: Administer HR plans and procedures across all branches. Advise leadership on best practices, conflict management, and employee relations. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook while ensuring staff are educated on all company policies.
Administrative & Systems Oversight: Perform essential tasks related to payroll processing, 401k administration, and benefits enrollment/termination. Maintain the HRIS and ensure all personnel files and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Benefits & Communication: Act as the primary internal communicator for benefit updates, policy changes, and personnel announcements. Manage the open enrollment process, ensuring staff are fully educated on the organization’s benefit package.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including advertising, applicant filtering, and interviewing. Develop recruitment strategies through internships, job fairs, and local school partnerships.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain strictly confidential employee records (Personnel, Medical, W-4, I-9) in accordance with state and federal regulations. Handle employment verifications and regulatory inquiries with high discretion.
Onboarding & Staff Development: Lead the orientation and onboarding process to ensure a positive first impression for new hires. Assign and track mandatory training through platforms like ICBA, ABA, and CSI eLearning, ensuring 100% compliance.
Meeting & Event Coordination: Plan and execute all-staff meetings, including venue logistics, agenda setting, and guest speaker coordination.
Culture & Engagement: Create and implement employee recognition programs (e.g., EPIC awards), team-building activities, and holiday celebrations. Oversee the "Fun Committee" to maintain high levels of employee engagement.
Performance Management: Coordinate the annual performance review and goal-setting program. Prepare necessary documentation for management and ensure timely completion of all appraisals.
Offboarding & Incident Management: Manage the termination process, including COBRA administration and third-party coordination. Investigate workplace accidents and grievances, preparing detailed reports and ensuring legal compliance for all disciplinary actions.
General Support: Execute additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a related field is required. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus. Minimum of 3+ year of experience in human resources, benefit management, interviewing, and relevant experience required. Banking knowledge, including CSI core knowledge is an added bonus.
