Job Description

As the Marketing and Communications Specialist for The Bank of Elk River, you are responsible for implementing marketing and communications strategies that elevate the bank’s brand and increase market share. You will develop effective messaging catered to the audience and the communication channel, including, but not limited to, social media, digital platforms, intranet, blogs, press releases, sales materials, video, animations, email, and more.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate integrated marketing and communication efforts for the Marketing Department, including, but not limited to, content creation, social media management, videography management, marketing platform management, graphic design, and collateral development.
  • Generate, edit, and publish content (original text, images, video, or HTML) on multiple channels creating meaningful connections and developing sales leads.
  • Update and present recommendations on sales and business development content, scripts, messaging, and automated responses.
  • Manage select marketing vendor relationships, ensuring contracts and content are delivered on time and measured for effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with and provide direction on identified bank committees to execute multiple tasks.

Technical Skills: Utilizes knowledge of content management systems, social media platforms, project management software, campaign management, email marketing systems, and metric measurement tools. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and video editing software.

Communication: Writes content that translates features into benefits and/or translates complex concepts into understandable language across various traditional and digital communications channels.

Project Management: Leads the implementation and completion of communications tactics. Collaborate with and provide direction to internal and external resources to execute multiple tactics. Manage the internal review process for assigned projects. Proactively and regularly report project status to Director and team.

Education & Experience

Marketing Degree and 2 to 3 years marketing experience
