Personal Security Considerations for Lenders

Personal Security Considerations for Lenders

Who Should Participate

All lenders and bank presidents would find this program beneficial.

Topics

Whether you are in your office, en route or on site, at a client’s property, there is no such thing as a routine day at work.  Your industry is unique. You are the “keeper” of the client’s future and dreams. A home, new vehicle, business expansion, heavy equipment purchase, land, seed, fertilizer, fuel and other major purchases are all approved or denied based on your (or your boards) decision(s). The facts/numbers and financial reports may indicate the client does not qualify for their purchase or new/renewed operating funds, yet (somehow) YOU are to blame.

What to do when a neighbor has informed you that your client has been discreetly selling off collateral? Land/rental pricing and operating expenses remain high, but crop prices continue to drop.  Are there other hardships in the client’s life? You may have a proven matrix to determine what level(s) of financial risk are acceptable; however, how do you determine what levels of personal risk are acceptable to you and your staff?

Topics to be covered:
  • Office (Security) configurations
  • Hostile Event Plan (ERP) – In the office and on site.
  • Safe/Lock down shelter(s)
  • Filing a Law Enforcement report
  • Electronic Evidence
  • Electronic Security Partner(s) – EXAMPLES: Phenced. CompanionAp.io, SPOT
  • Body language – Pre-assault indicators
  • Client file “notes” – Does the client have a history of abusive behavior or assault?
  • Vehicle and keys
  • If you can’t run in it … Don’t wear it!
  • Vehicle markings – Company vehicle or POV?
  • Clothing/Uniform – Company logo on your clothing?
  • Adopt-A-Cop – Who can assist you?
  • OFP/RO – How to obtain an OFP/RO, what does it accomplish and how long is in effect?
  • Personal (Family) Security – I know where you live!
  • Q & A
